This review will be short because I kind of did a pizza hit and run as I was driving through Archbald today. I was driving through the "curvy corners" as I like to call them in Archbald and spotted out of the corner of my eye a tiny pizzeria, which I decided I'd pull in and get a quick review done. I've never heard of LaPadrino's before, so I hoped maybe I stumbled upon a gold mine. I walked in and noticed it's more of a takeout place with a small dining area. A convenient feature is that they sell 6 packs of beer out of their refrigerator.
I grabbed 2 slices for the road, and as you can see, they looked beautiful where the cheese and the sauce clearly became great friends and intermingled wonderfully. This thing was originally cooked to perfection, and was reheated properly, which for some reason is a rarity when you are ordering pizza by the slice. The pizza guy, who I could see through the window to the kitchen clearly knew what he was doing because I could not have constructed this pie any better, but how did it taste? I hoped just as good as it looked.
The First Bite netted muted flavors and a weaker texture than I had envisioned, which was disappointing. It was still pretty good, but for the look of this slice the taste didn't match its appearance. I don't have to say much more about this because it's truly your average/slightly above average new york style pizza that you can get at many places throughout NEPA. I like to call this class of pizza a safe bet. The strength of this place is it's convenient location, quick service, (probably) consistent product, and the 6-pack feature. I'd recommend LaPadrino's for a slice on the run or for a nice takeout order. Try it out and let me know what you think! I welcome your opinions and feedback!
