Reviewing Sbarro Pizza in Orlando International Airport

Pepperoni Pizza by the slice from Sbarro in Orlando MCO airport.

Can Chain Pizza in an Airport be Good?

Sbarro is a pizza restaurant chain with more than 600 locations worldwide.  They are generally located in larger cities and busy areas like airports.  I stopped by the Sbarro in Orlando MCO airport to try a couple of slices.  I ordered a plain cheese slice and a spinach and mushroom slice.

The pizzeria in the food court had just opened so I was excited to know that I would be receiving the first fresh pies of the day.  Unfortunately, I don’t think the ovens were preheated as the bottoms of the pizzas were still pale white and pretty raw, leading to a bit of an unpleasant experience.  The ingredients were basic, the prices were high but fair for an airport, and overall it was edible albeit disappointing.

Not much else to say about this pizza in this article.  It is what it is.  Everyone has an off day, and I haven’t eaten enough Sbarro to know if this is indicative of their typical product.  Check out the video below for my thoughts on the two slices as I eat them.
