Phillies-Themed Saloon Takes Great Pride in Delicious Food and Good Service
Diskin’s Saloon in the Minooka section of Scranton is a Phillies-themed sports bar serving cold drinks and great food along with a friendly atmosphere and great customer service. It’s amazing how many great little spots are in the tiny town of Minooka! Diskin’s has a full menu, several TV’s, state of the art electronic dart-board machines, and more.
While on a recent visit to watch a Phillies game on TV, I tried the Whisky Diskin pizza along with some medium chicken wings. The hot wings were simply phenomenal! They were large, meaty wings that were fried to perfection and tossed in a well composed sauce that wasn’t too thick nor too thin.
Next I tried the Whiskey Diskin pizza. It’s built upon an Old Forge style pizza shell. Then they add the cheese, chicken, and a sweet whisky sauce that is simply delicious. This was a great pizza to snack on at the bar and really satisfied. Finally, I loved the flavors and it was cooked as well as it could have been.
